The Big Hoot, Birmingham

My first photographic outing since starting my site was a visit to the farewell weekend of “The Big Hoot”. The trail of owls created by the cities artistic community had certainly captured the imagination of the people of Birmingham and beyond! (My family included). The owls had been positioned all around the city and for the final weekend were gathered together before being auctioned off to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital. I was one of the lucky ones to get tickets to visit the “Parliament” of owls so it would have been rude not to takes a few pictures.

The day was very popular with queues stretching out the gate while people waited for their allowed time slot.
